The International Conference From the Strange to the Wondrous: 100 Years of The Strange Adventures of Hlapic the Apprentice, started in the Music School on 18th April.

In the "Becic" gallery, on 15th April, the best student artworks inspired by children's novel "The Strange Adventures of Hlapic the Apprentice" received the awards.

In the City Library, on 15th April, we witnessed the exhibition of never published illustrations for Tales of Long Ago. The author was Božidar Darko Mažuranić, the brother of Ivana Brlić Mažuranić.

The Awards ceremony for the best literary works of elementary school pupils of Croatia took place at the Art Gallery "Becic" on April 15th. This year they competed in three categories: text messages, lyric and prose work.

On the occasion of Lapitch 100th birthday, on Monday, April 15, in the Theater-Concert Hall "Ivana Brlic Mazuranic", the premiere of the musical and theatrical magic Lapitch, the Apprentice was performed.

The birthday celebration of the Croatian Andersen, Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić started on the 14th of April with a ceremonial opening in the town square named after this famous writer. The opening was in honor of the apprentice Hlapić.
