It was magical, and how it´s supposed to be atIvana´s opening week, the week of children, the week of fairy tales. This year the show has been a mix of many Ivana´s works with pieces of modern style.
At the town main square you could find everything about Ivana´s tales, from Hlapic´s shoe repairing workshop to silly Domacis. The top of everything was a show about an unhappy queen who had lost the keys, and who was entertained in many ways by the court jester including dancing, songs and visitors. Among visitors there was an unhappy old woman whose son got married to an adder and a lot of other court people. The queen couldn´t help anyone of them, so they turned to the great Stribor, a mighty ruler of the forest. He fulfilled everybody´s wishes, but only a granny didn´t want to accept the gift, she said that she would rather had her son and all sadness than all happiness but without her son. And so, all magic disappeared out of forest.Neva Nevicica had found the keys and gave them to her loved one to take them to the queen. They got in trouble, but the sun helped them and at the end they were all happy.As all previous years, as this year, the Mayor gave the city keys to the children, the festival´s flag rose up and this year´s Ivana´s week has started.
